[Sep 4, 24] How blessed I am

From time to time, as a first wave in this land of dreams,
I glimpse the second generations, my peers, it seems.

They possess more,
Their English is fluent, their learning refined,
They tread paths of success, so well-defined.

But I count myself blessed,
For I strive with my whole being,
Facing each trial, each moment, unseeing.

Today is a gift, the finest of times I see,
And tomorrow promises an even greater destiny.
